Shoot Day!

Shoot Day came at last! After many painful no carb days I  got to enjoy my first baked potato Friday night at my Husbands work Christmas party. Due to the fact that the party was being held at a delicious Vietnamese restaurant I had to pre-order my boiled chicken and veggies (Yum) and I ‘m going to fully admit to all of you that I brought a baked potato in the restaurant inside my clutch! They didn’t serve potatoes what was a girl supposed to do???? It was worth it! Saturday I continued on with my carb over-loading to prep the body for Sundays shoot. Sunday morning was a early start with McCarthy deciding he wanted to start the day at 4:30am. If you are a parent you will relate with the fact that every time you seem to really need rest or something big is happening your child will sense it and decide today is the day they wake up at the butt crack of dawn! Reality is that aside from fitness, photo shoots , blogging or whatever else may come into life…I’m a mom and a wife above all! When your baby needs you , your baby needs you!

So we got the morning started early-

4:30am breakfast

8am makeup

9am hair

10am SHOOT!

9:30 I head to the bathroom to change for my shoot and realize my abbs have started to shrink due to the lack of sugar in my body. When it comes to getting ready for a photo shoot it is always a bit of a science on what your body will do the first time you decide to deplete carbs, over load carbs and dehydrate. Needless to say I was a little panicked! But a couple of spoonfuls of peanut butter, paired with chocolate chips, and lots of crunches fixed the deflated abbs and we were back in action! For 5 hours Darren and his team worked hard to get the perfect shot. With all the adrenaline from the day and the reality of what I had just achieved by accomplishing one of my long time goals, 7pm comes along and my body was screaming for bed!

Now we wait as the photos are edited …….

One last thought

IT’S ALMOST DONE!

To keep myself distracted I also finished off some lovely projects i had going.

PHOTO’S FROM TODAY-

DINNER-

EGG WHITES-SPINACH-TURKEY-PEPPERS

SNACKS-

CHICKEN-CUCUMBERS

Yesterday was the hardest day I have had so far.The two little tablespoons of oatmeal that counted as my carbohydrate intake for the day left me feeling sad and lonely.

What did my meal plan look like today?

Today was the first day without any carbohydrates.

Carly was right! Day four has been so much better (I’m in it to win it now)

The only sad part is your muscles start to shrink, due to the lack of carbs.

That will all change friday…Stay Tuned!!
