Gluten free Fruit Crumble.

A crumble is one of my favourite things to eat! This one’s so healthy you could eat it for breakfast! I certainly have! It takes just minutes to assemble before you let it get all happy in the oven.

Most if not all of these ingredients can be purchased at a grocery store like Natures Fare.

Ingredients for the fruit layer

  • 6-8 cups of diced fruit. (I use apricots, peaches, and plums. You could also do just one of the three, or just do apples! whatever you have on hand!)
  • 2 TB coconut sugar

Ingredients for the crumble topping

  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 cup amaranth flour, or your favourite gluten free flour
  • 1tsp vanilla
  • 1 TB cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar or xylitol
  • 1/3 cup melted coconut oil

Directions:
  • Mix the fruit and coconut sugar and distribute it evenly into a big baking dish (9 by 13 inches)
  • Mix ingredients of the topping together, then add the coconut oil last. Pour the crumble over the fruit to cover it evenly
  • Bake at 350 for about 45 minutes. Depending on what kind of fruit you use, the baking time will vary. It’s ready when the fruit mixture starts to get bubbly as its baking.

Take This Workout Anywhere-Jump Rope Workout

Jump Rope workout

Jump rope workouts could easily be the most cost-effective, flexible (you can do them ANYWHERE) and amazingly simple conditioning regiments that you can add to your daily workout routine. What most of us consider a childhood activity, skipping can quite easily push you past where your current cardio routines take you, and leave you with a pool of sweat on the gym floor. There is a reason why jumping rope is such an integral part of a boxer’s conditioning, and it’s not because it is easy to do. Boxers have to undergo an insane amount of conditioning training prior to a fight, because those rounds in the ring are absolutely gruelling and will push even the most in-shape boxers to their limits. Fit Pregnancy

Fit Preganacy

Special to the beautiful model and mother to be Jennifer Wilson and to Studio 86 Creative Design for capturing these shots.

Whether you’re a fitness junkie or the girl who thinks of shopping as her cardio, the moment you find out you are carrying one of life’s most amazing gifts, you are faced with the challenge of staying fit, healthy, and motivated over the next nine months. I’m often asked, “What’s safe for me to do while growing a little person inside?” Throughout my pregnancy with boys, I taught class, worked out five or six days a week, and did pretty much whatever I wanted UNTIL it became uncomfortable.  Upon getting pregnant, I spoke to both my doctor and my midwife about exercise. Both said that if I had done the activity previously and I felt good doing it, I should keep doing it. I listened to my body and did yoga on days I felt I needed more relaxation and did boot camp when I felt like super mom.  Read more in the November Issue of Good Life Magazine.
